BATTLEFIELDS

The Battlefields across the realm of Empyrean offer benefits, detriments, and trade-offs that you must skillfully navigate with your Game Deck to win. With 3 random Battlefields to face in each game, who knows what challenging combination you'll face, but every game will be different!

The Battlefields below represent the 18 that come with the Core Game and the 9 that come with Battlefield Booster 01 and the Special Edition.

Open document

Will you make the bargain to extend your lead at the expense of valuable Essence? (Core Game)

Chamber of Abundance

Cards and Essence for everyone! (Booster 01)

Champion's Arena

With each new warrior you add to the Battlefield, the prior one gets weaker. But your elite card is cheaper. (Core Game)

Crystal Cave Lake

Fill this Battlefield quickly to get a valuable Essence bonus. (Core Game)

Darkwall Prison

You'll lose a card in your hand with your first Placement, but you can break it out of prison with enough warriors here. (Core Game)

Eldritch Rift

Win this Battlefield before the last Round of the game, with an extra incentive to do so. (Core Game)

Fifth Element Forge

With each new warrior you add to the Battlefield, the prior one gets stronger. But fill five Zones and you'll incur a penalty. (Core Game)

Garbage Smashers

The walls start closing in on turns 7 and 8. Will you fill this Battlefield before then, or will you feel the squeeze? (Booster 01)

Haggler's Shire

You'll pay more for the little ones, but you'll get a Might bonus for that extra payment. (Core Game)

Isla de Muerta

The First Player Token becomes a curse on this Battlefield. (Booster 01)

Monarch's Court

Will you seize the throne before your opponent to dominate this Battlefield at the risk of trying to win it too soon? (Booster 01)

Nexus Apex

Having only one card here can gain you extra Might, but it potentially comes at the risk of giving your opponent Essence. (Core Game)

River of Rebirth

While you can still Destroy and Stun your Opponent's cards, the outcome plays out differently in the River of Rebirth. (Core Game)

Sacrificial Spire

Sacrifices must be made to the Creators to win here. But show your devotion to them early enough and they give back. (Booster 01)

Scales of Eternity

Don't hold back. You must keep the scales balanced between cards in your hand and cards on the Battlefield. (Booster 01)

Sinking Sands of Syr

Those pesky Stop Tokens now have a much higher cost. Get rid of them quickly. (Core Game)

Siren's Sanctuary

The beautiful Siren's are giving, but every Ally that spends time in their sanctuary will weaken under their spell in the end. (Core Game)

Sweet Spot Chasm

Be the first to 10 here and you'll get an extra bonus, but don't go over 15 or you'll pay. (Booster 01)

Tar Pits of Valonta

Don't get stuck in the pits. (Core Game)

The Eye of Power

Extra cards are powerful, but so is the Might your opponent will gain from your advantage. (Booster 01)

The Fountain of Janus

Your cards can gain extra Might here (yay!), but it will come at an Essence cost (boo!). (Core Game)

The Guardian Academy

Train your warriors here. The more you train, the more likely you are to win. (Core Game)

The Holy Steps

Have your warriors start their ascension journey early to gain the maximum benefit. (Core Game)

Tiny Hollow

Only the little ones have an advantage here. Keep those pesky big expensive cards outta here. (Booster 01)

Vanishing Vault

Where does it go? No one knows, but you can't do anything with this Battlefield while it's gone. (Core Game)

Whitestone Cross

Is completing the cross first worth 2 extra Essence? Only you can decide if that's a risk worth taking. (Core Game)

Witherwood

At some point you must venture into the wood. But you won't enjoy it. (Core Game)
